TAIMA · Essential · Antioquia, Colombia

Cannabis medicine, standardised, audited, titratable.

Broad-spectrum oils formulated under pharmaceutical criteria: exact concentration, measured bio-absorption and full traceability from phyto-breeding to the dropper.

Manifesto

We don’t do wellness. We do botanical medicine with laboratory rigour.

TAIMA — from the Japanese 大麻 — is born at the intersection of pre-Columbian botany, contemporary biotechnology and European pharmaceutical protocols. Every batch leaving Antioquia is run through chromatography, microbiological control and cannabinoid verification before reaching a clinician’s desk.

Our promise is not to cure the incurable. It is to put a titratable, predictable, audited tool in the hands of the physician for conditions where evidence from the WHO, Mayo Clinic, Harvard Medical School and the American Academy of Neurology has shown a consistent efficacy and safety profile.

  1. 0.2 % Maximum batch-to-batch variability allowed on CBD concentration
  2. 21 Cannabinoids and terpenes quantified per chromatography run
  3. 1787 Colombian law that backs our entire production chain
  4. < 24 h From flower cut to the start of the extraction process

Biological foundation

The endocannabinoid system is the silent regulator of your homeostasis.

Discovered in the 1990s by researchers at the U.S. National Institute of Mental Health, the endocannabinoid system modulates pain, sleep, appetite, mood and immunity. It is the pharmacological target of our oils.

CB1 receptor
Predominant in the central nervous system. Its modulation regulates nociception, synaptic plasticity and affective states.
CB2 receptor
Concentrated in the immune system and digestive tract. Key mediator of peripheral anti-inflammatory response.
Anandamide
Endogenous endocannabinoid; its name derives from the Sanskrit ānanda — happiness. Partial agonist of CB1 and CB2.
2-AG
The most abundant endocannabinoid in the body. Full CB1/CB2 agonist, synthesised on demand.

Clinical evidence

What the medical centres that actually audit what they publish are saying.

Therapeutic applications

Three territories where evidence supports titrated, supervised use.

Information addressed to healthcare professionals. CBD:THC dosing and ratio must be individualised by a licensed prescribing physician.

01 · Insomnia
CBD : CBN 50–150 mg 21:00 – 22:00

Sleep as a clinical endpoint

In moderate-severe insomnia resistant to sleep hygiene, 150 mg CBD nightly is associated with better objective sleep efficiency and greater subjective well-being. Formulations with cannabinol (CBN) and sedative terpenes (myrcene, linalool) reinforce the effect.

We recommend titrating with CBD 5 % Pure (50 mg/ml)
JCSM 2024 · doi 10.5664/jcsm.10998
02 · Chronic pain
THC : CBD 5–25 mg + 5–25 mg AM · MED · PM

Modulating neuropathic pain

Cochrane systematic reviews and IASP position statements recognise mild but clinically relevant reductions in chronic pain — particularly neuropathic — with balanced THC:CBD formulations. The indication is adjunctive, not first-line.

We recommend titrating with THC:CBD 1:1 (10 mg/ml + 10 mg/ml)
Annals of Internal Medicine · ANNALS-25-03152
03 · Anxiety
CBD ↑ 25–75 mg 08:00 · 16:00

Turning down the neuronal noise

Eleven randomised controlled trials published between 2013 and 2023 report a reduction in anxiety symptoms with CBD and a favourable tolerability profile. Full spectrum outperforms isolate in the Harvard Gruber Lab model.

We recommend titrating with CBD:THC 10:1 (100 mg/ml + 10 mg/ml)

The origin of TAIMA

The vision of Luis Alfonso Londoño

TAIMA was born from the vision of Colombian entrepreneur Luis Alfonso Londoño, who set out to build a company that would combine the power of medical cannabis, Colombian botanical biodiversity and modern scientific formulation.

His goal: to bring balance back to the human body, integrating functional ingredients, rigorous research processes and simple but effective care rituals. Essential is the pharmaceutical arm of that vision.

Professional endorsement

Supported by physicians who actually understand the plant.

Dr. Sebastián Sierra — a functional physician with training in regenerative medicine — leads our scientific board. He combines pharmacology, phytotherapy and clinical experience to make sure every formulation has therapeutic sense.

“Evidence exists when distillates are developed under high quality standards. The rest is noise.”
